By
popular demand, let's take a look at The Lego Movie! Okay, as
mentioned in my Lego: Batman review, I did not really play with Legos
growing up, so I might be a little more hard on the movie than
someone who did. So, let's begin.
Background
Whoops!
I did not do much research on this review...sorry about that.
Plot
Okay,
bear with me here...because the plot can get very complicated. This
construction worker, named Emmitt, finds out that he is somebody that
a prophecy is talking about. So, they meet up with Batman to try and
stop the evil Lord Business (voiced by Will Ferrell).
Opinion:
This
movie is HILARIOUS! Especially funny are the parts with Batman
(voiced by Will Arnett). Also funny is Good Cop/Bad Cop (voiced by
Liam Neesan). The animation is superb. If you didn't know any better,
you'd think it was stop motion with real Legos, but is is acually
CGI. (spoiler
alert!)
The live action part with the boy and his dad really added a depth of
emotion to the film. And this is where the people that played with
Legos growing up get a sense of nostalgia. And this is also the
point where I finally understood the fascination with Legos. It is
not the best and doesn't deserve a 5-star rating, so I give it 4
stars! This is a good movie...check it out! Goodnight, and Bee Happy!™
