Well,
I did my predictions for the nominations, now it's time to give you
my predictions for the winners...
The
same rules apply to this one; I am not going to focus on the TV
categories. What I will say about the TV stuff is how many
nominations Buddy's
Musical Christmas
got! I would also like to point out a mistake I made. In my earlier
blog about this, Studio Ghibli's last movie was When
Marnie was There
and not The
Boy and the Beast. The Boy and the Beast
is a movie that came out this year but WAS NOT made by Studio Ghibli.
So on to new business.
Overall,
I did fairly well on my predictions. All of the movies for Best
Animated Feature I predicted to be in there. But, as always, there
are a couple of surprises. Like Minions
is not on the list. I did give it an 85% chance of making the cut,
so I really thought that it was going to be in there. Part of the
reason is that there were only 5 nominations instead of 8. Granted,
I have a hunch that Minions will get nominated at the Oscars. As to
which movie will be eliminated to make room for Minions,
it will probably be The
Good Dinosaur.
And When
Marnie was There
did not get nominated. However, they did make a new category this
year called Best Animated Feature: Independent, and it is nominated
there (but I don't what movie will win that category...I would
probably pick When
Marnie was There
just to play it safe).
As
to what movie will win? Didn't I already tell you this in my last
blog? Inside
Out!
As
for Best Animated Short Film? I am really surprised that Frozen
Fever is not in there. But, it is not really the greatest
animated short. But, if I had to predict a winner, It would be
Sanjay's Super Team. But, I have not seen it yet (it's Pixar, so
it's a safe bet).
Now
for best director? No surprises here. My prediction is Pete Docter
for Inside Out. Inside Out will also take the best music
category as well.
Moving
on to voice acting: One surprise was that Louis Black was not
nominated for voicing Anger in Inside Out (I'm
sure he's ANGY about it). The winner will Amy Poehler.
And
now for writing: I predict Inside Out (noticing
a trend?).
So
those are my predictions...Whether I am right or wrong, we will have
to find out on February 6, 2016. What are your predictions? Comment
or e-mail me (thatbradley@gmail.com)
your predictions.
And
as for the answers to my quiz in the last blog, the answer is C.
Okay, and as for this week's question, What movie won 10 awards at
the Annies in 2011? Goodnight, and Bee Happy!™
